Bernera Community Centre, home of Bernera Historical Society


Bernera Historical Society was founded in 1991 and is based in Bernera Community Centre where it has its office and registered museum. The museum is open during the summer and has a mixture of permanent and temporary displays on local subjects.  The Society also operates the replica Iron Age house at Bosta.

As a founder member of Hebridean Connections www.hebrideanconnections.com much of the society’s genealogical data, archive material and artefacts have digitised and are available online.
