Promoting access and knowledge of archive collections across the islands are key aims of the Tasglann project. Talks, conferences and events are held to promote knowledge of archives and increase access to them.

26 March 2013: North Lochs on the Record
A talk and archive exhibition presented to North Lochs Historical Society featuring archives relating to their area and the stories they contain.
22 November 2012: Ness Connections - Stories from the Archives
Donna and David introduced archive collections held by the Comhairle and others relating to the Ness area to Ness Historical Society. A display of rarely seen archives were on show from the Comhairle's collections that complement the collections of Ness Historical Society.
11 August 2011: Old Shops of Stornoway
Tasglann nan Eilean Siar hosted Norrie Macgregor, Sandy Matheson and Malcolm Macdonald who talked about four former shops of Stornoway.
7 May 2011: Barra to Berneray - Archives in the Southern Isles
A one day conference bringing together representatives of the Historical Societies of Berneray, North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist, Eriskay and Barra to discuss their collections and experiences.
